Broomhandle Assault Sends Man To Jail | Crime

A 25 year old Austin man faces charges for allegedly assaulting his 21 year old stepson with a broomhandle.

Police say the older man became upset when he couldn't find a video game.

A verbal argument escalated into a physical assault in which the 21 year old was struck on the side of the head with a broomhandle.

The victim refused medical attention.

The assault occurred at a home in southeast Austin Tuesday afternoon.
