Domestic Violence on the Rise | News

A new report shows nearly 34 people died from domestic violence in Minnesota last year.

According to the Minnesota Coalition for battered women, 23 of those deaths were women, 4 were children and 6 were friends or family members.  The report also cited one man died from domestic violence.

Many of the deaths happened despite police involvement and court orders for protection.

It's the third year in a row domestic violence deaths have gone up.
